Picking Flowers @ Erincrest
The idea of having a U-Pick experience felt natural as the days went by through my first large scale growing season.
So many unique blooms! The colours, shapes, textures. I felt that it was a shame I was the only one seeing these amazing plants pumping out flowers everyday.
I invited friends over to pick their own vase and see what I had been working on. Everyone ended up with such different bouquets! It was amazing to see. I was inspired by their arranging and choices, and it brought a new level of excitement to my flower growing experience.
I knew I needed to make it a priority to allows others to visit .
What to Expect
We are a full time livestock & crop operation, so there is often other activities going on during a U-Pick (picture tractors on the move, cows on pasture, a milk truck that sometimes blocks the laneway!)
We have a large laneway to accommodate transports, but please park mindfully.
I hope you’re not afraid of animals, as the barn cats roam freely and our family dog loves to greet all our visitors
Meet by the greenhouse, we will fill up your vases, give you a tour of where to find the flowers, show you some options to set up shop to do your arranging, and a quick tutorial on how to cut your stems!
You are then free to mingle amongst the gardens, scouting to find your perfect flowers, fill your vase, arrange as you choose, and leave happier then you thought possible :)
